It involves a powerful organisation with bosses having much money and muscle power who have been able to influence people around me including family members and friends outside the organisation's sphere of influence too. there is a lot of mental torture involved and it sure affects your brain and gives intense headaches. When it started way back in Antarctica reading Ayn Rand and objectivism (particularly Anthem and Philosophy : who needs it?) gave me some strength and direction to survive it. I've been somewhat a spiritual person with some roots in Hindu philosophy since childhood and that alone has enabled me survive it till date. I remember everything done to me and people have said and done in these many years that my experiences can serve as a good source of learning for someone interested in studying the subject. It also involves stalking, bullying, 24 hours surveillance and human rights violations. The book " Brainwashing: the science of thought control" had been followed to the letter in the session in Apr- May 2016 by the bosses. the multi-step process propounded by Robert Lifton was proved true. WHY "Label" yourself? i have never in my entire life, been into any 'groups' or 'cults', and i'm not far from a freakin hundred years old. so – don't guess i'll start now. HAH Loading... Log in to Reply Gustavo Pomar says: April 6, 2020 at 1:22 pm always asked myself since I was young why this classes on Psychology sound so suspiciously bad and useless "science." When I arrived California and went to Nursing School, then my suspicions were confirmed. Psychology just as Evolution, are total useless theories. While Evolution throw at us "biiiiillions of years ago…" to hide its impotence to explain reasons "scientifically," Psychology barely touch the tip of the iceberg of the vastness of the extremely sophisticated human brain. The God of the Bible is the only one Who knows us: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." Jerem.17:9-10 KJV. Call me crazy, but it's true. Loading... Log in to Reply Sean Coleman says: April 6, 2020 at 1:22 pm I am dubious of neuroscience's ability to tell us much about human behaviour. It has to be, surely, tied in with a materialist and atheist view. Kathleen Taylor's website has an 'atheist credo' of her own composition and going by that her world view is very simplistic. As I recall it begins with 'I believe in the scientific method, goes on to say that it 'suffered under religion and rose again during the Enlightenment,' and ends with the utopian 'to make the world a better place'. Why would atheists want to make the world a better place if it is meaningless and brought about by sheer chance? As John Gray writes about the modern wave of evangelical atheist fundamentalism it borrows much of its ideas from Christianity but is much cruder philosophically. Maybe the book is good but I prefer to read history, for example the French Revolution and the Cult of Reason. Loading... Log in to Reply Charles Ostman says: April 6, 2020 at 1:22 pm In my opinion (and perhaps many others who are increasingly in agreement), the pathology of fanatical fundamentalist beliefs has transcended beyond the arena of philosophical disagreement, and evolved into a type of spreading social cancer, often with horrific consequences. This is a cancer which needs to be neutralized, not as an artifact of some arcane religious orientation, but as a requirement for the well being and safety of the societies into which this cancerous growth has been infected. I am not against personal commitment to a spiritual orientation or faith. I am, however, very much against pathological fundamentalism and its horrific consequences. Loading... Log in to Reply Don Vidal says: April 6, 2020 at 1:22 pm Right, atheists can't be brainwashed only the "religious" can. I see people comparing today's Christians to the Christians of centuries ago and things that they did such as witch hunting, and crusades. But if I dare compare atheists to the secular atheists such as Pol Pot, Mao Tse Dong, or Stalin, nope that's not allowed! No one talks about the crimes of Mao ZeDong, he killed close to 40 million Buddhists during the 20th century make the holocaust seem like a joke. The reason was simple, "religion is poison". The same rhetoric atheists now use. Loading... Log in to Reply conceptforge says: April 6, 2020 at 1:22 pm What about the religion of atheism? Atheism is just another religion as well so don't try to ram atheism down everyone's throats either. Yes, atheism is just as much a faith based religion as any other world view. Islam is a death cult and has nothing to do with my Christian faith. And the fruits of atheism have been seen with Pol Pot, Mao, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler and some of the other most mass murdering regimes throughout history…So don't try and tout "atheism" as some noble panacea.
