I decided to challenge myself to meditate for an hour a day for a week, and see where I ended up.

There were two main reasons why I wanted to try this out: I wanted to push myself to do something new and also I wanted to do something positive for my mental health, which had felt like it was sliding in the wrong direction for a little while.

Truly a fascinating experience, I highly recommend anyone that is interested to try this out.

  1. I'm blown away by the amazing response to this video. I would have never thought that YouTube would promote a video like this (serious topic, slower pacing, etc.) but I just wanted to say thank you for all of the lovely comments and suggestions. There's a lot more of this kind of thing and my search for mental clarity on my channel, so feel free to check it out if you're interested!

  2. Meditation made me realize that I am not my situation. Even meditation itself is a perfect place to learn that lesson. I realized that it doesn’t matter whether my meditation experience is good or bad. Good or bad is just something we are observing. A feeling. But it’s not us. If your session went well, you are still you. If your session didn’t go well, you are still you. Don’t identify with what your experiencing. And that goes with everything in life.

  3. Since march 2019 I meditate 20/30 minutes in the morning and the same in the evening before I go to bed. It's so relaxing and I'm more productive during the day and sleep better. 🙂

  4. Started meditating for the last 3 weeks 1 hour a day, sometimes I end up doing 45 mins or 30 mins but I always do over 30, and its been amazing, my life feels so centred and I feel so much more grounded and able to achieve way more. I found that fear was getting in the way of a lot of what I wanted to do and accepting that and running towards fear has changed a lot in the last 3 weeks

  5. Do you know "The Work" of Byron Katie? This really could be a thing for you. If you re interested in conciousness and inner freedom it really could be worth a try for you 🙂

  6. It's been a week since I started this journey and I can only do 3-5 minutes of meditation so far. I feel so disappointed in myself. Letting go of thoughts and pausing my brain seems like mission impossible for me. This video gives me hope though. I'll get there one day (hopefully)!

  7. I really love how many people try to do meditation and try to live their best life and be the best person they can. This is spreading so quickly and I'm so proud of y'all. Keep pushing and trying harder ❤️

  8. it is fluoride they add to tap water. It cannot be filtered out, nor removed by reverse osmosis. Fluoride causes anxiety, depression, brain damage, cancer, weight gain, nerve damage, ms, mental fog. Cook with spring water and avoid drinking coffee, tea, soups, etc. outside your house.

  9. Hey Nathaniel!

First of all I wanna take this opportunity to let you know that I like your videos 🙏🏻
My colleague recommended your channel and I’m glad she did.

I know the struggle of having too many thoughts and trying to meditate. But all your thoughts are OK , don’t fight them. If your mind tries to trick you into negativity, look at it in a different way.. anyway .. it’s amazing that you did this 1 hour a day!

A nicer way to take some time for yourself and “escape” is yoga!
I struggle with sitting down and do nothing but yoga is my way to take a step back and relax. Meditation + moving = less overthinking and more focus.
I can highly recommend @yogawithadriene on YouTube 🧘🏻‍♀️

Thanks for creating and enjoying awesome content!

  10. I'm currently in the middle of a similar challenge for myself. Like you I have had some major changes in my life lately including a painful separation. My goal has been to meditate for at least one hour every day, but I break it up into morning, afternoon and bedtime. I'm about a week in and I've been amazed at the difference it has made in reducing my anxiety. Thank you for sharing your experience.
